Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 6, 2026 | Last Updated: October 8, 2026

Our commitment: the justfixit.AI Agent is designed from the ground up to diagnose and fix your computer without collecting personally identifiable information (PII). This website is different in a few specific ways (an account email, contact form messages, analytics and ads), and each one is described below.

1. Data We Collect

System Diagnostic Data (Anonymized)

When you run a diagnostic scan, the Agent collects:

  • Operating system name and version
  • Hardware specifications (CPU, RAM, GPU)
  • Installed software names and versions
  • Running services and their states
  • System error codes and messages from event logs
  • Network adapter types and connection states
  • Disk capacity and health status

Data the Agent NEVER Collects

  • Personal files, documents, photos, or videos
  • Passwords, credentials, or authentication tokens
  • Browsing history, bookmarks, or cookies
  • Email content or contacts
  • IP addresses (not logged or stored)
  • Geographic location
  • Screenshots or screen content
  • Keystrokes or input data

Account Data

When you create an account, we store: email address (for authentication only), subscription tier and billing status, and fix execution history (anonymized package IDs and outcomes).

Information You Send Through This Website

If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address, subject and message you enter so we can reply. If you join the early-access list, we store your email address and which signup form you used. Both are stored in Google Firebase (Google Cloud). Sign-in uses Firebase Authentication.

Payment Data

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or wallet private keys. Stripe handles PCI compliance.

2. How We Use Data

  • Fix Recommendations — Diagnostic data matches your issues with effective Fix Packages. Processed in real-time, not stored beyond the session.
  • Platform Improvement — Anonymized outcome telemetry improves fix recommendations for all users.
  • Contributor Revenue Share — Fix execution counts (by package ID, not by user) calculate contributor payouts.
  • Safety Monitoring — Outcome data detects problematic fixes, which are automatically disabled.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256-GCM)
  • Stored in Google Cloud Platform (US regions)
  • Access restricted to service accounts with least-privilege IAM roles
  • No plaintext secrets in code — all credentials via GCP Secret Manager
  • Regular security audits and dependency vulnerability scanning

4. Data Retention

Data TypeRetention Period
System diagnostic dataSession only (not stored after diagnosis)
Account dataUntil account deletion + 30 days
Anonymized outcome telemetryIndefinite (no PII)
Payment recordsAs required by law (typically 7 years)
Execution logs90 days (anonymized)

5. Data Sharing

We DO share:

  • Anonymized, aggregated outcome data with vendors (for their own fixes only)
  • Payment processing data with Stripe (PCI-compliant)
  • Data as required by law (court orders, subpoenas)

We DO NOT share:

  • Your account email, contact form messages or early-access email with anyone except the service providers named in this policy, which process them on our behalf
  • System diagnostic data with any third party
  • Individual user execution history
  • System diagnostic data with advertisers. The website does show Google ads on some pages; how that works, and how to opt out, is in section 7.

6. Your Rights

  • Access — Request a copy of your account data
  • Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data
  • Opt-out — Enterprise users can disable outcome telemetry
  • Portability — Export your fix history in standard format

EU/EEA Residents (GDPR)

Right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we collect no PII in diagnostics/telemetry, most GDPR rights relate to your account email only.

California Residents (CCPA)

Right to know what data we collect, right to delete, right to opt-out of sale of personal information (we do not sell any data), and right to non-discrimination.

7. Cookies, Analytics, Advertising and Affiliate Links on This Website

This section covers the justfixit.ai website. The desktop Agent does not use cookies, analytics or ads.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses cookies and browser storage for three purposes: keeping you signed in (Firebase Authentication), measuring how the site is used (Google Analytics 4), and showing ads (Google AdSense). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block them, signing in may not work, and ads you see will not be personalized.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, how people arrive, roughly how long a visit lasts, which buttons are used, and general device, browser and location information that Google derives from your connection. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. We use these reports to improve the site; we do not use them to identify you. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google AdSense advertising

Some content pages on this website may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are labeled “Advertisement”. We do not place ads on this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Service, the Legal FAQ, the Contact page, or on download, sign-in, account, status and error pages.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info (https://www.aboutads.info). For more about how Google uses data in advertising, see Google’s advertising technologies page.

On the download page, and after a diagnosis on the home page, we show a short list of security and backup products (for example Malwarebytes, Bitdefender, Norton, NordVPN, Surfshark and Backblaze). This box is labeled “Affiliate links” and each link is marked “Affiliate link”. The links go through a redirect on our own domain (justfixit.ai/go/…) to the partner’s website. Some of them are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a commission. We do not add your account, email or diagnostic data to these links. Once you arrive on a partner’s site, its own privacy policy and cookies apply, and the partner may use cookies to record that you came from us. Affiliate links are separate from Google ads and are never labeled as Google ads.

Error monitoring and hosting

When error monitoring is turned on for the website, reports about errors are sent to Sentry so we can fix them, and a short replay of the page may be included, with everything you typed into form fields masked. The website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
